Dropped my eldest off at college! I'm going to miss my boy, but so excited he chose to go to my alma mater! I feel like I was just here taking art classes and trying to get people to sit for me so I could paint their portrait! I needed 100 portraits for one class by the end of the semester, so I was literally pulling people of the streets! So many memories! That tiny, white house was actually my very first art studio! It was a run down shed and with the help of some friends we put windows in and sheet rocked the walls. No plumbing or I probably would have just moved myself in instead of renting an apartment! Lol. ð

Paintings in Progress
Back in the studio working on a couple of paintings at once! Similar color palettes so I thought it would be more time effective to paint them simultaneously. ðĪŠ #JensArt

Three Amigas
Aren't they the cutest? I saw these three sitting on a bench in front of an outdoor market and I just couldn't resist snapping a pic. Photos like this make me miss painting people! What do you think? Would you want to see these Three Amigas in a painting? ððð #JensArt

Clothesline Series!
I recently caught up with a collector who wants to commission one of my clothesline paintings! I haven't done that series in years! She remembers meeting me about 15 years ago at an outdoor show in San Francisco.
In her words...."I think the painting that I liked way back when had sheets, the image was breezy, sunny, and happy, with a blue sky and green grass, and the feeling imprinted on me was motion and vibrancy, and boundlessness."
She wrote down my name knowing that one day she would have a clothesline painting of her own! Fortunately, I'm in Mexico on a short family vacation, so I dropped the kids off at the beach and took a cab around the city of Zihuatanejo to find inspiration. I lucked out. Apparently, it was wash day! Here are a few of my favorites....
