Feeling the Love in Boston!

Funny story...I was working on this painting when a couple walked up. After watching me for a few minutes, Evantha introduced herself and told me she loved the painting just as it was, and didn't want me to work on it any further. This was a first! I explained that I still planned on adding a meadow of purple daisies, and maybe some wild flowers — but she stopped me right there. "Nope! I want to buy it just like it is!" This painting represented "Love" to her, so we titled it "Lover's Lane," and I added their initials to a heart in the tree. What a fun experience. Loved meeting them! 💜

Gallery Show on the East Coast!

Tuscan Poppy Painting for Fundraiser!

Donated 48x48 Tuscan Sunrise to my High School alma mater to help raise money for college scholarships! $89,000 was raised that night, breaking all records! Every single senior who applies receives a scholarship. My neighbor had the winning bid for Tuscan Sunrise so I got to see it hanging up. ❤️ #craterfoundation  #JensArt

Aspen Art in Montana Home!

I met Dale and Bonnie at the collector dinner and afterwards they invited me and the Gallery owners to come visit their home. Their view is really spectacular! This is how I picture Montana. Big open expanses of land teaming with wildlife. Dale loves to sit on his back deck and watch the roaming geese make their way up to the house or the bald eagles nesting in the trees by the river. It really is so peaceful! I loved it. Bonnie wanted to "brighten up" the home so by the time we left, the house had been completely redecorated! 😍

Dinner with Collectors

The Collector's Dinner was a lot of fun. It started at 4 pm with wine and hors d'oeuvres with everyone mingling and walking around the gallery. At 7 pm we were seated at a long table and after some words from the Gallery owner, Robin Galloway, the chef began serving the first course. Each woman was given a present that they unwrapped to find one of my Art Totes.They were so surprised! It was such a wonderful evening mingling with my lovely art collectors. Finished up this new piece from my Monochromatic Series. In this series, I paint the background a smooth contemporary, silver so that the white trunks of the Aspen/Birch pop dramatically! I added two red cardinals tucked away on a couple of branches for a little hint of color. "Love Birds II" is headed to Beartooth Gallery in Red Lodge, Montana. Gallery Show in Red Lodge Cancelled!

The special collector dinner Beartooth Gallery had planned for me was cancelled tonight due to a heavy snow storm! The Gallery had prepared a classy event. Everything was ready! Paintings hung, table set for 25, chef in the back cooking a 3 course meal...but the 8" of snow and icy roads became too dangerous and everyone cancelled.🌧 I still had fun hanging out with the Gallery owners (Robin Galloway, Bob Streitmatter and Steve Galloway) but I missed seeing some of you! Love this couple! Matt and Jilli commissioned their very first piece of art for their new life together! They both are very outdoorsy so they wanted a painting with mountains, water, aspens, and a colorful meadow of flowers. Jilli literally asked for every color of the rainbow. They loved it so much they had it displayed at their wedding. ❤️ #JensArt #jensartcommissions 

(The initials are actually really, really tiny! You'd have to hunt for it to find it. But it's something I love to do to personalize the painting for my collectors.) 💕

Four Seasons Art!

This is what the Seasons Quadriptych will look like! When my client asked if I had a 4 Seasons Series available...I looked through my Giclées and realized that yes, I did already have a Spring, Summer and Fall scene that would work! All three paintings were inspired by the same grouping of trees. All I needed was Winter. Done! Now this series is available in a Giclée and can be created in any size needed!
